Completely new house from 1897
The original project of the building was approved by the Tallinn city government in 1897 and was authored by the architect Moritz Alexander Rudolf Baron Engelhardt. Hence the current name of the house. The house featured limestone exterior walls and a vaulted brick ceiling. Architects Eek & Mutso have taken the historical house, the foundation of which unfortunately did not stand the test of time, as an inspiration and model for the design of the new residential building. The house was built using modern materials while preserving the historical appearance.

Unique 134.8 m²
Baron’s House is the most distinctive single-family home in the city center. Originally completed in the 19th century, it eventually wore out – so we built it again. Even better this time, as back then the house certainly wouldn’t have achieved a B energy class. But the idea remains the same – live like a baron.
The ground floor offers 82.8 m² of space, and the second floor 52 m². The water-based underfloor heating can be individually adjusted in every room. The dining area features a six-meter smart glass window, which can be frosted for added privacy.

A unique residence in the city center
In front of the house, there is a west-facing terrace that enjoys the evening sun. The future owners will have exclusive use of a private yard area of approximately 70 m², in addition to access to a shared, fenced courtyard used by all four buildings. The communal yard features play equipment for children, as well as a ping-pong table, a pergola, and a barbecue area for adults. The property also includes one private parking space located in a gated outdoor parking area next to the house.
Interior design with a lot of open space
Baron's House features wide, single-strip light oak parquet flooring and warm white toned walls. The 2.3-meter-high profile doors are concealed hinged with magnetic locks, matching the wall color. The ceramic tiles are chosen in gray-beige tones to further emphasize the light warm parquet. A wooden staircase leads to the second floor. Details are in black or anthracite gray. VAL75 door handles, designed by Estonian designer Aap Piho, perfectly complement the matte black series of anthracite gray sockets and switches.
Details that support the whole
The sanitary ceramics in the Baron's house are matte white. The sinks and toilets are from the GSI selection, and the stone bath is from the Estonian manufacturer Balteco. The faucets are chosen from the Grohe Essence series. The master bedroom’s bathroom features a glass wall, and next to the stone bath is an elegant floor-mounted Grohe faucet with a graphite gray finish. This home has a cozy sauna, with the steam room finished in thermally treated paneling, and a glass wall separates the washroom from the steam room. The Estonian-designed Huum Hive stove provides warmth and enhances the beauty of the steam room.
