Completely new house from 1897
The original project of the building was approved by the Tallinn city government in 1897 and was authored by the architect Moritz Alexander Rudolf Baron Engelhardt. Hence the current name of the house. The house featured limestone exterior walls and a vaulted brick ceiling. Architects Eek & Mutso have taken the historical house, the foundation of which unfortunately did not stand the test of time, as an inspiration and model for the design of the new residential building. The house was built using modern materials while preserving the historical appearance.
Check out the virtual tour – it’s for illustrative purposes only, and the interior differs from the completed home.
Unique 134.8 m²
Baron’s House is the most distinctive single-family home in the city center. Originally completed in the 19th century, it eventually wore out – so we built it again. Even better this time, as back then the house certainly wouldn’t have achieved a B energy class. But the idea remains the same – live like a baron.
The ground floor offers 82.8 m² of space, and the second floor 52 m². The water-based underfloor heating can be individually adjusted in every room. The dining area features a six-meter smart glass window, which can be frosted for added privacy.
