Vääna 11

A new home worthy of Nõmme

Vääna 11, created by PIN Arhitects, features three 3-storey buildings, each of which has 8 apartments. Most apartments have either a balcony or a terrace, the apartments on the top floor even have both. All three buildings are connected by an underground parking floor.

Vääna 11 is located by a road with light traffic which ultimately leads to the Nõmme-Harku health trail. A 15-minute walk away is the Nõmme market, which is appreciated not only by Nõmme people, but by all city residents.

A home with a classic style has light colours, airy lightness and closeness to nature, which is expressed by natural wood and a well-thought-out lighting solution.

Freestyle

Chic dark tones, straight lines and modern design elements such as concrete and exposed wires are the details that make this rather masculine and even slightly rebellious interior stand out.

We used to live in the city center, and our walks would take us along Liivalaia Street. Here, we can enjoy nature, the forest, and the sea. The biggest difference is that it's much calmer here, and it's also much better for our child.

What I really love the most is that when I want to go for a run, I just step outside and start running. And since we have a small baby, if I need to go for a walk, I grab the stroller and step outside. Maybe saying there are a million directions is an exaggeration, but I can go anywhere, and in fact, the city center is right here at my fingertips.

Probably the most difficult part for us was choosing whether to create a bar counter or a dining table for the kitchen, because somehow a bar counter might have been better, but the dining table was definitely the right choice for us.

This apartment is specifically designed around the flow of natural light. With very high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, the goal was to ensure that the light remains uninterrupted and visible throughout the entire apartment, as much as possible.
