According to a Recent EMOR Survey Conducted This Fall, Liven Is Ranked as the Second Most Reputable Real Estate Developer After Merko. This Motivates Us to Strive Even Harder

The most reputable real estate developers, according to a Kantar Emor survey conducted in late September, are Merko, Liven, and YIT. The key factors influencing positive attitudes towards these developers are their credibility, professionalism, and quality.
Additionally, factors that were important for the respondents were meeting deadlines, providing customer-friendly service, and offering family-friendly solutions.
The survey did not only focus on reputation but also on the recognition of the companies. When asked which developers spontaneously came to mind, 59% of respondents mentioned Merko, followed by Endover (43%) and YIT (31%).
According to Kantar Emor expert Tauno Mändla, while the survey helped rank developers in terms of recognition and reputation, there haven’t been detailed studies in Estonia that would allow a more in-depth evaluation about the impact of the developer’s brand when making a purchasing decision. “For more price-sensitive buyers, the developer’s name may not be the most critical factor. However, when price is not the only criterion and people have to choose between seemingly equivalent offers, the role of trustworthiness and recognition starts to play a bigger role,” said Mändla. “In such cases, the developer’s name and reputation undoubtedly provide a sense of security.”
Mändla also noted that reaching the top of the reputation ranking is only possible for companies that consciously and systematically focus on creating positive customer experiences. “When mapping the post-purchase experience of homeowners in new developments, it is evident that they are generally more satisfied with aspects that could be considered more thoroughly before the purchase, such as the living environment and apartment layout. However, satisfaction is lower in areas that arise after moving in and are directly related to the developer’s responsibility, such as poor construction quality or noise transmission into the apartment.”
The survey involved 600 participants, including 267 respondents who plan to purchase an apartment in a new development in or near Tallinn, as well as 214 recent buyers who have purchased an apartment in the capital or Harju County in recent years. In addition to assessing the recognition and reputation of real estate developers, Kantar Emor also identified the main needs of prospective homebuyers and examined the experiences of those who have previously purchased a home.
