New Homes in Uus Maailm Will Be Completed in a Year
The Toom-Kuninga 21 apartment building, developed by Liven Kinnisvara, has been designed by Kadarik Tüür Arhitektid and will be constructed by Merko Ehitus Eesti. Construction work started yesterday on December 18, 2017, and the building will be completed in a year. As of today, 36 apartments have already found their owners.
The 9-story building will consist of 52 apartments and commercial space. The more luxurious apartments span across two floors and include spacious rooftop terraces. A communal hobby room will be built on the ground floor for the residents. Most of the apartments will have balconies, and storage rooms. Parking spaces will be located on the underground floor.
While many apartment buildings are being constructed in Tallinn, the development activity is shifting towards the suburbs as there aren’t enough available plots in the city center anymore. The Uus Maailm neighborhood is no exception, as suitable plots for residential developments are limited, and in recent years, only a few apartment buildings have been built.
The Toom-Kuninga 21 building is located on the border of Uus Maailm and Tõnismäe, right next to the Children’s Stadium. The building stands out with its architecture and interior design, drawing inspiration from the art deco style of the 1920s and 1930s.
In all Liven’s developments, as well as in Toom-Kuninga 21, every client has the opportunity to customize the layout of the rooms and make their own choices regarding the interior finishes. Andres Aavik, a partner at Liven, commented that Liven provides the opportunity for clients to choose everything from parquet flooring to doorknobs. “The future resident knows what their home should be like, down to the smallest details of the layout.”
